Made up of a Bowie worshipping frontman and bassist, a mustachioed, avant-garde guitarist, and a house DJ manning the traps, WhoMadeWho formed in Copenhagen, Denmark at the dawn of the 21st century. Their unique blend of styles and influences congealed into a frenetic blend of dance, rock, and euphoria that was welcomed and lauded by much of the music press. Wanting to work together for some time, drummer and producer Tomas Barfod and guitarist Jeppe Kjellberg were finally able -- with the addition of bassist and Kjellberg acquaintance Tomas Hoffding -- to get something going, and that something was WhoMadeWho. Their first album together, 2005's WhoMadeWho, released on Gomma, was an instant success, receiving a number of positive reviews, and landing the three-piece a support slot on the ~Soulwax Tour.
