Ask the Expert: HVAC

My utility bills have been a burden lately. How can I save money?

If you have an older furnace you could save up to 40% on your heating bills by replacing it with a new high efficiency furnace. The cost to replace your old, inefficient furnace is paid back through lower utility bills.

There is another, even better way of saving money on energy costs … a Bryant Hybrid Heat system. Hybrid Heat is a more energy-efficient variation of the traditional heating and cooling systems because it allows greater control over which fuel is used for heating. The inclusion of a heat pump allows the option of electricity-fueled heating and cooling, in addition to gas furnace heat.

My heating and cooling system works okay but it’s noisy and I just don’t seem to be as comfortable as I’d like to be. What can be done about that?

Bryant offers heating and cooling products that provide not only significant savings on utility bills, but superior comfort as well. The Bryant Evolution® 95s Gas Furnace offers the ultimate in heating comfort, with an up to 95% AFUE rating for superior energy efficiency, precisely regulated, consistent temperatures and whisper-quiet performance.

I’ve heard a lot on the news lately about poor indoor air quality, particularly in newer, tighter built homes. That concerns me. Is there anything I can do to improve the quality of air in my home?

A. Yes, you can dramatically improve the quality of the air in your home. Bryant's Perfect Air Purifier works to capture and kill dangerous bacteria, viruses and mold, safeguarding the air quality of your entire home. Indoor air is re-purified, not just filtered, as often as 8 times each hour.

I’ve heard there is a new refrigerant for air conditioners. Is that something I should consider when considering a new product for my home?

Environmentally sound, chlorine-free Puron® Refrigerant is the refrigerant of the future. As companies worldwide race to upgrade to chlorine-free refrigerants, Bryant is proud to be among the first manufacturers to develop cooling products using non-ozone-depleting Puron Refrigerant. At Bryant we've leveraged our long history of developing solid heating and cooling products to build an entire line of heating and cooling products with Puron Refrigerant, available right now to make your home more comfortable.
